Salted Honey Pie

Hi Friends!
Here is a delicious and easy dessert that everyone will love.
When I say easy, I mean it. I ACCIDENTALLY TRIED to flop it, but it wouldn't. Instead of turning down the heat to 325, I turned it to 225 instead. Oops! So I adjusted the heat and baked it a little longer, and it turned out just fine. Whew!
So if I can make this pie, you can too!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup Orange Blossom Honey
- 4 egg yolks
- 2 cups half-and-half
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 9-inch pie crust
- Coarse salt for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°.
- Separate egg yolks and add to a mixing bowl. Whisk together egg yolks, half-and-half, cornstarch, vanilla, and 1/2 tsp salt.
- Pour mixture into unbaked pie crust and bake at 400° for ten minutes. Reduce heat to 325°, and bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and set in the middle.
- When pie is completely cooled, sprinkle with coarse salt and enjoy!
